Job Summary:
We are looking for a Software Tester with 23 years of experience in web-based product testing. The candidate should have strong functional testing knowledge, a good understanding of API testing, and the ability to identify issues by analyzing browser console logs and network errors. The role requires someone who can think beyond basic test cases, create effective scenarios, and identify layered issues across the application.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform functional testing of web-based products, covering both positive and negative scenarios.
• Understand product requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute test cases and report defects with proper steps, screenshots, logs, and evidence.
• Perform basic API testing using tools such as Postman or similar tools. • Analyze browser console errors, network failures, API response issues, and application behavior.
• Identify layered issues by validating end-to-end workflows, data flow, UI behavior, validations, and backend responses.
• Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand issues and verify fixes.
• Perform regression testing, smoke testing, sanity testing, and exploratory testing as required.
• Ensure proper defect tracking, retesting, and closure within defined timelines.
• Contribute to improving test coverage and product quality.
