Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale technology transformation initiatives involving database migration, application modernization, and cloud adoption. The ideal candidate should have a strong combination of technical understanding, project/program management, delivery governance, and client stakeholder management experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology transformation projects.
- Manage fixed-price projects with ownership of scope, schedule, budget, risks, quality, and delivery.
- Drive database migration initiatives such as:
- Oracle to PostgreSQL
- MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL
- Manage Java monolith to microservices transformation programs.
- Drive and govern cloud adoption and migration initiatives.
- Lead distributed onsite and offshore teams across multiple workstreams.
- Conduct Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Release Planning.
- Establish project governance, reporting, metrics, RAID management, and escalation mechanisms.
- Manage client and senior stakeholder communication and ensure timely resolution of project issues.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, dependencies, quality issues, and delivery challenges.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in Technical Project Management / Program Management.
- Strong experience managing enterprise technology transformation programs.
- Hands-on understanding of database migration and application modernization.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, and/or MS SQL Server migration programs.
- Understanding of Java, Microservices, Cloud, DevOps, and containerization.
- Strong experience in Agile project delivery.
- Experience managing fixed-price projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills.
- Experience managing onsite-offshore delivery models.
- Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, quality, and delivery management.
