Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead with 8+ years of expertise in Linux Device Driver Development and Android Platform Bring-up. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in developing and debugging Linux drivers for Camera, Audio, Display, Wi-Fi, and other peripherals, along with extensive knowledge of ARM-based platforms and Android bring-up on new chipsets.
Role & responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, integration, and optimization of Linux device drivers for Camera, Audio, Display, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and other embedded peripherals.
- Drive Android bring-up activities on new SoCs/chipsets and support platform enablement.
- Work closely with hardware, BSP, kernel, and application teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex software and hardware integration issues.
- Utilize hardware and software debugging tools to diagnose and troubleshoot platform issues.
- Analyze kernel logs, crash dumps, boot logs, and performance bottlenecks.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and design decisions.
- Mentor, guide, and groom junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects.
- Review code, ensure adherence to coding standards, and drive engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Support performance tuning, system stability improvements, and feature enhancements.
Preferred candidate profile
8+ years of experience in Embedded Linux and Linux Device Driver Development.
Strong expertise in Linux Drivers such as:
Camera Drivers, Audio Drivers, Display Drivers, Wi-Fi Drivers & Other Peripheral Drivers
Hands-on experience in Android Bring-up on new chipsets/SoCs.
Strong understanding of Linux Kernel architecture and device driver framework.
Extensive experience with ARM-based platforms and embedded systems.
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills.
Hands-on experience with hardware and software debugging tools such as:
JTAG Debuggers, Lauterbach, GDB, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes
Kernel Debugging Tools
Experience in board bring-up, BSP development, and platform customization.
Strong knowledge of bootloaders, device trees, kernel configuration, and system performance tuning.
Proficiency in C programming and embedded software development.
