We are seeking a Pitney Bowes Spectrum Administrator & Developer responsible for managing and supporting Spectrum platform environments while also contributing to job/service development and integrations.
This role is primarily admin-focused (approx. 60–70%) with development responsibilities (30–40%), including building services, workflows, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
Pitney Bowes Spectrum Administration
- Administer and maintain Pitney Bowes Spectrum platform
- Manage server configurations, job execution, repository, and environment setup
- Monitor platform performance and ensure high availability and stability
- Handle deployments, upgrades, and patching
- Troubleshoot platform issues and ensure SLA adherence
Spectrum Development (Jobs & Services)
- Develop and maintain Spectrum jobs, services, and workflows
- Design and implement real-time and batch processing services
- Build integrations using SOAP / REST APIs / Web services
- Customize and configure Spectrum modules as per business requirements
- Manage and support Spectrum platform environments
- Develop and maintain Spectrum jobs and services
- Implement API integrations using web services
- Support ETL and data processing workflows
- Ensure platform security, performance, and reliability
- Provide L2/L3 production support and incident resolution
- Maintain documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT / related field
- 4–6 years of experience in Spectrum (Pitney Bowes) or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of data integration and APIs
Integration & Middleware Skills
- Strong experience in:
- SOAP / REST / Web Services development
- API integrations and service orchestration
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize service performance
ETL & Data Processing
- Good knowledge of ETL development (any tool: Informatica, Talend, etc.)
- Understanding of:
- Data transformation
- Data quality and data enrichment
- Ability to work with structured and semi-structured data
System Administration (Windows & Unix)
- Hands-on experience in:
- Windows Server administration
- Unix/Linux environments
- Knowledge of system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
SFTP / SSH Setup
- Configure and manage:
- SFTP file transfers
- SSH connectivity and secure communication
- Troubleshoot connectivity and file transfer issues
Security & Vulnerability Management
- Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities
- Ensure adherence to enterprise security standards
- Manage system hardening, patching, and access controls
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and stakeholder coordination
- Ability to work in fast-paced production environments
- Team player with a proactive approach
Related Optional Skills (Good to Have)
- IBM HTTP Web Server (IHS) administration
- Certificate Management (SSL/TLS setup, renewal, troubleshooting)
- Experience with enterprise tools:
