SUMMARY
Technical Analyst Post-Merger Integration (Hybrid: Business + Technical)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Analyst to support Post - Merger
Integration (PMI) initiatives. This hybrid role combines strong domain understanding with
hands-on technical skills to independently discover and validate requirements, design
clear frameworks, and develop execution plans. A core focus is to analyze the acquired
company’s technology and process stack, map it to our ecosystem, and recommend the
best integration approach. They will ensure outcomes are well-defined, feasible,
measurable, and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
PMI Discovery & Assessment: Rapidly inventory and assess the acquired
company’s product, data, and process stack (applications, data models, APIs,
integrations, workflows, SLAs), documenting current-state capabilities and
constraints.
Stack Mapping & Alignment: Create detailed mappings from acquired systems to
our platforms and processes, including data entities/attributes, interface
touchpoints, roles/permissions, and operational handoffs; identify overlaps, gaps,
and deprecation candidates.
Integration Options & Recommendations: Propose integration patterns (e.g.,
consolidate, federate, phase-and-bridge), articulate trade-offs, and recommend
best-path actions aligned to business outcomes, risk, cost, and timeline.
Technical Decomposition: Translate target-state outcomes into epics, user
stories, data contracts, and interface specifications; outline system interactions,
dependencies, and non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability,
compliance).
Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Lead structured discovery with stakeholders
to elicit, clarify, and document business needs and success metrics; convert
ambiguity into clear, testable, and technically feasible requirements.
Frameworks & Documentation: Produce PMI-specific artifacts (current/target
state diagrams, sequencing/transition plans, cutover runbooks, decision logs,
RACI/DACI, prioritization matrices) to drive shared understanding and decisions.
Execution Planning: Build and maintain integration plans with scope, milestones,
dependency maps, risks/assumptions, and mitigation strategies; define and track
measurable outcomes and KPIs.
Data Quality & Reconciliation: Partner with data teams to define reconciliation
strategies, data quality checks, and migration validation plans; ensure lineage and
auditability across systems during transitions.
Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder communication independently
across both organizations; facilitate workshops, align on scope and phasing, handle
trade-offs, and maintain a consistent communication cadence.
Status Reporting: Provide transparent, timely status updates and executive
summaries highlighting progress, decisions/asks, risks, and blockers.
Expected Deliverables (PMI)
Stack inventory and current-state assessment
System and data mapping matrix (acquired acquirer)
Integration options summary with recommendations and trade
offs
BRD/FRD and user stories with acceptance criteria
Cutover plan and runbook, with risk/rollback considerations
Reconciliation and validation plan with data quality checks
Qualifications (Must - Have)
10+ years of overall experience in technology or product environments, including
5+ years as a Technical Analyst (or similar) with hands-on experience in
integrations, re-platforming, or PMI
Demonstrated ability to assess unfamiliar stacks and produce clear mappings to a
target ecosystem
Domain-informed decision-making; can recommend integration approaches and
trade-offs during discovery/design
Technical fluency: read/write basic SQL; interpret API specs; understand data
models and identity/permission models
Strong stakeholder management and communication; facilitates workshops and
executive readouts
Proficient with Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Snowflake, and Lucidchart (or

fast-changing PMI contexts; concise communicator who surfaces risks early and
proposes options; collaborative partner balancing business value, user impact, and
technical feasibility.
