Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Technical Architect to lead the design, architecture, and evolution of a large-scale global eCommerce platform. This role is responsible for defining scalable and secure commerce solutions, guiding development teams, supporting modernization initiatives, and ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

The ideal candidate will possess deep SFCC expertise, strong integration architecture experience, and the ability to provide technical leadership across multi-site, multi-locale commerce implementations supporting global business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Define end-to-end solution architecture for Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations and enhancements.

Lead technical design discussions and architecture reviews across commerce initiatives.

Design scalable storefront, integration, API, and data exchange solutions.

Provide architecture guidance for SFRA, OCAPI, SCAPI, and Headless Commerce implementations.

Evaluate and recommend architecture patterns, frameworks, and platform capabilities.

Define integration strategies across OMS, payment, tax, fulfilment, analytics, and customer experience platforms.

Collaborate with business, product, engineering, and enterprise architecture teams to define solution approaches.

Mentor developers, senior developers, and technical leads.

Review technical designs and provide technical oversight and guidance on complex development activities, integrations, and modernization initiatives.

Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure adherence to platform standards, best practices, performance, security, and maintainability requirements.

Establish development standards, coding practices, and technical governance processes.

Ensure solutions meet security, scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability requirements.

Establish code quality standards and monitor compliance using tools such as SonarQube and automated quality gates.

Define and maintain CI/CD processes, deployment standards, and release governance for Salesforce Commerce Cloud applications.

Oversee source code management, branching strategies, and deployment processes using Bitbucket and CI/CD pipelines.

Support environment management, deployment planning, release readiness reviews, and production rollout activities.

Support production issue analysis for complex architectural and integration-related challenges.

Drive technical root cause analysis and resolution of complex production and platform-related issues.

Contribute to modernization initiatives including API-first, Headless Commerce, and composable architecture programs.

Maintain architecture documentation, solution diagrams, and technical standards.


Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of software engineering and commerce platform experience.

6+ years of hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience.

Strong expertise in SFCC architecture, storefront development, and platform capabilities.

Experience designing multi-site and multi-locale commerce solutions.

Strong experience with SFRA, OCAPI, SCAPI, Service Framework, and Jobs Framework.

Experience designing enterprise integration architectures.

Strong understanding of API-first architecture principles.

Experience supporting large-scale global commerce implementations.

Strong understanding of performance optimization, scalability, and security best practices.

Experience designing and governing CI/CD pipelines and release management processes.

Experience with source code management, branching strategies, and deployment automation.

Experience conducting code reviews, technical design reviews, and architecture governance activities within enterprise development teams.

Experience implementing code quality, security, and governance practices within enterprise development environments.

Experience leading technical teams and architecture discussions.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
