Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end design, development, and delivery of web applications using PHP and Laravel.
Define and implement scalable architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders for requirement analysis and solution design.
Drive code reviews, technical governance, and mentoring of development teams.
Design and manage cloud-based solutions on AWS ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployments.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
Integrate third-party services and manage document processing workflows.
Ensure high-quality code, testing standards, and overall application reliability.
Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, and best practices.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation across development processes.

Requirements & Skills

Degree holder in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
8 12+ years of experience in backend development with strong expertise in PHP and Laravel.
Expert-level knowledge of PHP 8.x and Laravel Framework (v8+).
Strong experience in building RESTful APIs and scalable web applications.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as S3, SQS, EventBridge, and CloudWatch.
Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience integrating third-party APIs (e.g., BOX API).
Expertise in PDF generation and processing tools like Dompdf and php-pdftk.
Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and microservices architecture (good to have).
Strong understanding of application performance, security, and scalability principles.
Proven experience in leading development teams and mentoring engineers.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
