Role description Job Title: Packet Core Test Engineer Exp : 7+ years Location : Noida / Chennai - Hybrid Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure smooth operation of the GSM/UMTS/LTE/VO-LTE specific Packet Core Network. Be part of a team specific PCN Network activities associated with Mobile GSM/UMTS/LTE/VO-LTE Network. Be responsible for Administrate PCN and Support Systems. Be responsible for planned Maintenance (Health Checks, Backups etc. ). Be responsible for problem Escalations and Follow-ups (CSR). Be responsible for Performance Analysis & Investigation. Provide technical guidance to Care team engineers to avoid/minimize troubleshooting challenges. Work cooperatively with various internal teams to ensure that customer support issues are dealt with in a timely manner and in-line with expectations for any project/support work that rely on it. Partnering with regional Care teams to share best practices & implement best practices. Contribute to Continuous Excellence initiatives to improve Care effectiveness & efficiency, Product improvement and Customer experience improvement. Develop strong relationships with our customer teams and end customers. 24x7 Emergency support for Critical issues and occasional shift-work based off customer needs.
Qualifications: Minimum 7-10 years of demonstrable professional experience, very good hands on and working level knowledge of any Vendor Packet Core nodes, SGSN-MME, GGSN (SGW/PGW), EPDG etc.
Good understanding of EPC, VoLTE, Vo-Wifi solutions and call flows.
- Having knowledge of 5G SA various architecture, services like FWA, IOT/ Slicing
- Multi-party vendor node integration
- Exp in Live N/W touch Activities in Maintenance windows
- Knowledge of GSM, SS7, Sigtran, TCP/IP, S1AP, RANAP, SCCP, SCTP, Iu-PS, BSSGP, GTP and Diameter protocol.
- Good Understanding of Packet Core surrounding Nodes (PCRF, AAA, DNS, Charging).
- Analyze and plan customer requirements and ensure flawless execution of changes.
- Familiar with critical PACO & VoLTE Network KPIs. Good understanding of Diameter Interfaces & Error Codes.
