Job Description Team Leader (US Accounting)

Position: Team Leader – US Accounting
Experience: 5–7 Years (Working with US Clients)
Qualification: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Commerce (US CPA Preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and train a team of 8–10 accounting professionals.
• Conduct performance reviews, delegate tasks, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Prepare and review financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow Statement, in compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Handle a portfolio of US-based clients, resolve escalations, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and reviews.
• Develop, implement, and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across all accounting activities.
• Monitor team productivity, provide coaching, and drive continuous process improvements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in US Accounting, including prior team management experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, or ERP systems.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Professional Experience

• 5–7 years of hands-on experience providing accounting services to US-based clients.
• Previous experience leading or managing an accounting team is mandatory.
