Job Summary

Role: Teacher. Location: Muzaffarpur, Bihar, India.

Responsibilities

• Teaching & Student Support: Conduct daily teaching sessions as per the PEP framework in OPD/IPD or in schoolrooms.
• Teaching & Student Support: Track student attendance, progress, and reintegration potential.
• Teaching & Student Support: Provide individualized attention and teaching when necessary.
• Teaching & Student Support: Engage students in interactive and holistic learning experiences.
• Teaching & Student Support: Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress.
• Parent & Community Coordination: Work closely with parents and caregivers for academic continuity.
• Parent & Community Coordination: Sensitize parents and reintegrated home school staff on cancer and post-treatment effects.
• Parent & Community Coordination: Assist in identifying and filling out scholarship forms, ensuring all necessary documents are collected.
• Parent & Community Coordination: Organize regular parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) to discuss student progress.
• Parent & Community Coordination: Following-up with children for their reintegration purposes.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain vCAN entries for all educational and support assistance provided.
• Documentation & Reporting: Coordinate with the SST (Social Support Team) for holistic child development.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain all records related to attendance, learning progress, diagnostic assessments (DA), PEP execution, student evaluations, and individual growth tracking.
• Documentation & Reporting: Submit monthly student progress reports to the Head Teacher.
• Documentation & Reporting: Following up with children to know their progress and schooling status.
• Operational Duties: 1. Lesson Planning & Classroom Execution - Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with PEP goals.
• Operational Duties: 2. Student Monitoring & Reporting - Conduct diagnostic and periodic assessments to track student progress.
• Operational Duties: 3. Parent & Community Engagement - Organize awareness sessions and sensitization workshops for parents.
• Operational Duties: Ensure regular communication with parents on student progress.
• Operational Duties: Collaborate with local schools for reintegration efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education, Special Education, Child Development, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of teaching experience, preferably in remedial or special education.
• Experience in individualized learning support and student assessment methodologies.
• Prior work experience with children with health impairments or learning disabilities is preferred.
