Tableau Developer

Role & responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau.
• Take full ownership of Tableau development, including data modeling, dashboard design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document reporting requirements.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and modeling.
• Create, manage, and maintain Tableau data sources, extracts, and published datasets.
• Work closely with data engineers and business analysts to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Ensure dashboards are accurate, scalable, and optimized for performance.
• Translate complex business requirements into intuitive and actionable visualizations.
• Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and quality assurance to ensure data accuracy.
• Monitor and improve dashboard performance by optimizing calculations, filters, and data models.
• Support end users by resolving reporting issues and providing technical guidance.
• Follow BI best practices, governance standards, and documentation processes.
• Continuously enhance existing dashboards based on user feedback and changing business requirements.
• Stay up to date with Tableau features and recommend improvements to BI solutions.

Preferred candidate profile :

• 4+ years of experience in Tableau development.
• Strong proficiency in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud.
• Solid experience in SQL and data modeling.
• Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Experience in creating complex dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, LOD expressions, and performance optimization.
