Synechron - GCP Software Engineer (7-10 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer GCP to design, build, and manage scalable cloud-based data and infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in GCP services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), data engineering, and cloud automation, with a focus on delivering secure, reliable, and high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.

- Develop and optimize data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data processing solutions for large-scale datasets.

- Implement and manage data storage, transformation, and analytics solutions using BigQuery and other GCP data services.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational processes.

- Collaborate with application, data, DevOps, and business teams to deliver cloud-based solutions aligned with business requirements.

- Design secure, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures following GCP best practices.

- Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, scalability, and operational costs.

- Implement CI/CD pipelines and support automated deployments across environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure, networking, and data platform issues.

- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and operational standards.

- Maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7-10 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related roles.

- Strong hands-on expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Experience with key GCP services such as :

1. BigQuery

2. Cloud Storage

3. Cloud Functions

4. Dataflow

5. Pub/Sub

6. Cloud Composer

7. Compute Engine

8. GKE (preferred)

- Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

- Advanced SQL skills with experience in data modeling, query optimization, and large-scale data processing.

- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT and data integration pipelines.

- Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, identity management, and access controls.

- Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting languages such as Bash or Python.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
