Swimming Coach

The Westwood School is looking for Swimming Coach to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey

• Instruction: Teach individuals or groups the fundamental techniques of swimming, including strokes (eg, freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly), breathing, and bodpositioning
• Skill Development: Assess swimmers' abilities and create personalized training plans to improve their stroke techniques, endurance, speed, and overall performance
• Safety: Emphasize water safety and ensure that swimmers are aware of pool rules and safety measures
• Training Plans: Develop structured training programs that include drills, workouts, and practice routines to help swimmers meet their goals
• Technique Analysis: Analyze swimmers' strokes through video analysis or direct observation, providing feedback for improvement
• Motivation: Encourage and motivate swimmers, setting realistic goals and monitoring progress
• Competition Preparation: Prepare competitive swimmers for meets and races, which includes race strategy, mental preparation, and tapering
• Team Building: If coaching a team, foster a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among the swimmers
• Nutrition and Conditioning: Provide guidance on nutrition, strength training, and conditioning programs to enhance swimmers' overall fitness
