Supply Chain Manager

Roles and Responsibilities :

Supply Chain Planning & Execution
• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure seamless coordination between procurement, production, stores, and logistics functions.
• Monitor material availability to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
• Drive inventory optimization while maintaining desired service levels.
Procurement & Vendor Management
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for sheet metal raw materials, components, consumables, and related services.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and annual agreements with vendors.
• Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and cost.
• Build strategic sourcing initiatives to reduce procurement costs and improve reliability.
Inventory Management
• Maintain optimum inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Implement inventory control systems to minimize excess stock and shortages.
• Conduct periodic inventory audits and ensure stock accuracy.
Production Planning & Coordination
• Collaborate with production and planning teams to synchronize material requirements with manufacturing schedules.
• Ensure timely availability of materials as per production plans and customer commitments.
• Monitor demand forecasts and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
Logistics & Warehouse Management
• Manage inbound and outbound logistics operations.
• Optimize transportation costs, warehouse utilization, and dispatch efficiency.
• Ensure timely deliveries to customers while maintaining compliance with company standards.
Cost & Process Optimization
• Analyze supply chain KPIs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Lead initiatives related to Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and process improvement.
• Drive digitalization and ERP utilization for supply chain visibility and control.
Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and company policies.
• Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to management.
• Track key metrics such as inventory turnover, OTIF, procurement savings, and supplier performance.

Job Requirements :

• 4-8 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including vendor development and negotiation techniques.
• Proven track record in managing complex projects from start to finish within tight deadlines.
