Job Title: Supplier Quality Process Control Manager (Electronics Machining)
Location: India (Field-based, Supplier Facilities)
Job Type: Full-time
Reports To: Manager - Quality
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supplier Quality Process Control Manager to oversee and manage our electronics and machining suppliers in India. This role will focus on ensuring that suppliers meet our strict quality standards, adhere to design specifications, maintain process control, and effectively manage inventory at their facilities. The ideal candidate will have a background in manufacturing, quality assurance, and supplier management, along with strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Quality Assurance Control:
    • Perform regular quality audits at supplier facilities to ensure compliance with our specifications and standards. If non-compliance and/or opportunity for improvement(s) result, working with the supplier to implement the new required changes.
    • Monitoring suppliers quality control systems, including inspection protocols, testing methods, and performance metrics.
    • Address any quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in collaboration with the suppliers.
    • Coordinate with internal engineering and product teams to ensure that suppliers understand and adhere to product design specifications and tolerances.
  • Process Control Improvement:
    • Oversee supplier processes to ensure efficient manufacturing practices that meet required quality standards.
    • Manufacturing Process Control Plan (MPCP).
    • Supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
    • Lead the identification and implementation of continuous process improvements within supplier operations.
    • Monitor production schedules and throughput, ensuring the timely delivery of products without compromising quality.
    • Work closely with suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve any operational or technical challenges related to machining or electronics production.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the accurate and timely management of customer owned raw materials, components, and finished goods inventories at their facilities.
    • Monitor stock levels, ordering cycles, and lead times to avoid shortages or delays in production.
    • Establish and manage inventory reporting systems to track supplier performance, stock levels, and turnover.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for quality, design, supplier inventory, and process issues.
    • Ensure suppliers are aligned with our strategic goals, values, and expectations for quality and delivery.
    • Provide training and support to suppliers on quality systems, process control, and best practices.
  • Documentation Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of supplier performance, quality audits, corrective actions, and inventory levels.
    • Prepare detailed reports on supplier performance, quality issues, and process improvements for internal stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates to senior management on supplier quality metrics and progress on key initiatives.
Qualifications Skills
Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical engineering. Certifications (such as Supplier Quality Engineer, Six Sigma, ISO 9001, etc.) are a plus.
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in Mechatronics, supplier quality management, process control, and inventory management, preferably in electronics or machining manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in managing supplier relationships, quality control processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, certifications (IPC, ISO9001:2015), and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, quality and production.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), root cause analysis, risk mitigation, and corrective actions.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), ERP systems, and quality management software.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proactive and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel frequently to supplier facilities within India.
