Job Description

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned SuccessFactors ECP professional to drive internal payroll operations, system enhancements, and regional rollouts. This role is responsible for leading a specialized team of 3-4 consultants to ensure the stability and optimization of our India Payroll and global ECP environment. The focus is on providing high-quality support and managing internal project lifecycles rather than third-party client implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 34 ECP/SAP Payroll consultants. Manage workload distribution, technical upskilling, and performance delivery for internal projects.
  • Support & Enhancements: Oversee the end-to-end support for India Payroll. Identify system gaps and lead the design and configuration of enhancements to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.
  • Internal Rollouts: Act as the technical lead for internal ECP rollouts, ensuring seamless integration between Employee Central (EC) and Payroll.
  • Technical Governance: Manage complex configuration tasks including schemas, PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules), and wage type maintenance.
  • Compliance & Updates: Ensure the system remains compliant with statutory Indian payroll requirements. Manage the implementation of SAP Notes and legal change patches (LCPs).
  • Integration Management: Oversee the Point-to-Point (PTP) integration and ensure data consistency between EC and ECP.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with HR IT leadership and internal Finance/HR stakeholders to align payroll technology with business objectives.

Preferred candidate profile :

  • Experience: Minimum of 12+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Payroll or SuccessFactors ECP.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of India Payroll processing, including taxation, provident fund, ESI, and other statutory deductions.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong knowledge of Payroll Control Center (PCC) configuration.
    • Experience with Payroll Mashups, Off-cycle payroll, and Retro-calculation logic.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting PTP integration errors and IDOC monitoring.
    • Ability to configure and modify Payroll Schemas and PCRs.
  • Leadership: Proven experience leading a small technical team or acting as a track lead in a large-scale environment.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
