Structural Engineer(Buildings)

Role & responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems using applicable codes and standards.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.
• Perform structural analysis for concrete, steel, composite, and foundation systems.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical consultants, and project teams.
• Review construction drawings and ensure compliance with approved designs.
• Supervise structural works at the construction site and ensure quality execution.
• Conduct inspections to verify structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with project specifications, local regulations, and relevant codes.
• Review contractor method statements, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Monitor construction progress and resolve structural design and site-related issues.
• Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure timely completion of structural works.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance (QA/QC) procedures and safety requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and structural assessment documents.
• Assist in value engineering to optimize cost without compromising structural safety and quality.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
• Support testing, commissioning, and final handover by resolving structural observations.
• Identify project risks and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Maintain proper documentation of design revisions, inspections, approvals, and site records.
• Strong knowledge of RCC, steel, and composite structures.
• Familiarity with IS Codes, IRC, ACI, Eurocodes, or other applicable standards.
• Proficiency in structural software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
• Good understanding of construction methodologies and QA/QC practices.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams.

Preferred candidate profile

B.E. / M.E. / M. Tech / Equivalent with 15 years experience with minimum 5 projects in residential or mixed use.

Will be responsible for reviewing and value addition for all structural designs and drawings / vendor submissions.
