Primary Responsibilities:
- As a Stock Room Assistant, your key responsibilities include: Manage Stockroom: Ensure the stockroom runs smoothly according to M&S procedures. Handle Deliveries: Check and unpack deliveries, match them with paperwork, and highlight any issues like shortages or damage. Organize Stock: Store stock in the correct locations and keep it accessible and safe. Ensure the physical stock matches the quantity on cartons. Track Stock: Keep track of stock levels and locations. Rotate and replenish stock regularly. Complete Paperwork: Fill out and file paperwork accurately and on time. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the stockroom organized and tidy, and manage non-saleable items like POS materials. Assist with Stock Takes: Help with stock counts and preparation. Improve Systems: Contribute to improving stock storage and control systems. Physical Work: Be prepared for physical tasks, including lifting heavy boxes and performing various movements.
