Sterlite Industries was a diversified metals and mining company. It was a subsidiary of Vedanta Resources. The company produced copper, zinc, lead, silver, and aluminum. Sterlite Industries operated mines, smelters, and refineries in India, Australia, and other countries. The company was delisted from the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) after its merger with Sesa Goa to form Sesa Sterlite, which was later renamed Vedanta Limited.
