Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Test Engineer with 2–5 years of experience in OTT, IPTV, DTV, and Set-Top Box (STB) testing. The candidate should have strong expertise in validating video streaming applications, middleware, broadcast technologies, and end-to-end TV platform testing across various devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory testing of OTT/IPTV/DTV applications and STB platforms.
• Validate Live TV, VOD, Catch-up TV, DVR, EPG, PPV, and Interactive TV services.
• Test video streaming protocols such as HLS, DASH, RTSP, RTP, and MPEG-TS.
• Execute STB testing across Android TV, Linux-based STBs, and Smart TV platforms.
• Analyze and troubleshoot audio/video quality issues, buffering, latency, and playback failures.
• Validate DRM solutions such as Widevine, PlayReady, and FairPlay.
• Test middleware, channel zapping, remote-control functionality, and device interoperability.
• Work with network tools like Wireshark, Charles Proxy, and Postman for debugging and traffic analysis.
• Create and execute test cases, test plans, and defect reports using Jira/ALM/TestRail.
• Collaborate with Development, Product, and Operations teams to ensure product quality.

Required Skills

• 2–5 years of experience in OTT, IPTV, DTV, or STB testing.
• Strong understanding of Video Streaming technologies and OTT ecosystems.
• Experience testing Android TV, Smart TVs, Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, or Linux-based STBs.
• Knowledge of HLS, MPEG-DASH, OTT workflows, CDN concepts, and Adaptive Bitrate Streaming.
• Experience in API Testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Understanding of DRM technologies (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay).
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
• Good debugging and log analysis skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Automation Testing using Selenium, Python, Java, or Appium.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience with cloud-based OTT platforms.
• Understanding of DVB, ATSC, MPEG standards, and Broadcast technologies.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or related field.
