Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Lead and manage audit engagements end-to-end, including planning, fieldwork, review, and reporting under US GAAP / PCAOB, Ind AS, Indian GAAP, and IFRS frameworks
- Execute and supervise audits in compliance with applicable SEC / PCAOB requirements
- Prepare and review financial statements, audit workpapers, memoranda, and management letters to a high standard of quality
- Coordinate with clients, engagement partners, and cross-border counterpart firms on deliverables, timelines, and technical positions
- Identify and resolve technical accounting and auditing issues; draft position papers and accounting memos where required
- Supervise, guide, and develop junior team members; conduct on-the-job training and review their work output
- Stay current with updates to PCAOB, AICPA, ICAI, and IASB standards and communicate relevant changes to the team
- Assist in business development activities, proposal preparation, and client relationship management as required
Preferred candidate profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI) or Certified Public Accountant
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in audit and assurance
- Experience in a reputed CA firm, Big 6, mid-tier accounting firm, or firm with US-facing audit practice preferred
- Hands-on experience conducting or supervising audits under PCAOB Auditing Standards
- Familiarity with US GAAP financial reporting, ASC codification, and disclosure requirements
- Direct exposure to broker-dealer and other PCAOB audits
- Working knowledge of PCAOB inspection findings, internal control evaluation (AS 2201 / ICFR), and independence requirements
