Responsibilities

• Lead design and architecture for major features or components, ensuring alignment with the broader system architecture.
• Determine approach and methods independently on complex, ambiguous assignments without an established playbook.
• Partner with other engineering teams, Product, and UX to shape solutions before implementation begins.
• Build working relationships and technical credibility beyond your immediate team.
• Establish and champion engineering best practices adopted by your team and beyond.
• Mentor Senior and mid-level engineers, helping them grow their technical judgment and scope of ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Demonstrated track record leading technical initiatives that span multiple engineers or systems
• Deep expertise in frontend and/or backend technologies relevant to OneTrust's platform, including cloud architecture experience
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Devin, Windsurf, or similar) in a professional setting, with genuine enthusiasm for applying AI to accelerate and elevate day-to-day engineering work.
