Staff Engineer

Job Summary

Staff Engineer with a strong product development mindset and hands-on expertise in C# and/or Java stack. This role focuses on building high-quality software, driving engineering excellence, and contributing to architectural decisions while mentoring team members. Location: Pune, India. Experience: 8-12 years.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend systems using C#/.NET or Java (Spring Boot)
• Contribute to system architecture and technical design discussions
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code
• Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver product features
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Work with DevOps teams on CI/CD, cloud deployments, and automation
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence
• 8-12 years of product engineering experience
• Strong hands-on expertise in C#/.NET Core and/or Java (Spring Boot, Microservices)
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and system design principles
• Experience working in product-based environments
• Experience building REST APIs and working with distributed systems
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in SaaS product development
