Required Skills & Qualifications

Architecture & Design

• Proven experience designing large-scale distributed systems and Node.js microservices with strong REST and async integration patterns
• Deep understanding of design patterns, SOLID, DDD, and event-driven architectures, with sound trade-off decisions (stateful vs stateless, sync vs async, caching)
• Strong expertise in MongoDB including data modeling, indexing, aggregations, and scalability fundamentals
• Experience with micro-frontend architectures (e.g., Single-SPA) and cross-team UI composition
• Ability to balance technical debt, scalability, cost, and time-to-market using metrics-driven decisions

Cloud & Platform (AWS & Jenkins)

• Extensive experience architecting on AWS (API Gateway, Lambda, ECS/EKS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Strong command of Docker and deployment strategies (blue/green, rolling, canary) on ECS/EKS.
• Expertise in CI/CD with Jenkins, including pipeline-as-code, gated builds, artifact versioning, and environment promotion.
• Mature observability practices using New Relic, SLOs, s, and distributed tracing.

Technology Awareness

• Broad hands-on knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Ability to objectively evaluate technologies and recommend pragmatic, scalable solutions
• Awareness of modern trends (serverless, streaming, observability, platform engineering) with a bias for operational simplicity

Leadership & Communication

• 12-14 years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in senior/lead/architect roles.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and elevate team capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Track record of driving technical decisions and influencing without authority.
• Experience working with Agile teams and contributing to engineering culture.
