Job Role- SD &O Engineer/STA Engineer
Location- Sanand (Gujarat)
Brief Description about the role:
- STA Engineer will be responsible for the delivery of the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) through the application of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- In addition, he will have responsibility to maintain relationships with Key Stakeholders in Purchasing, Product Engineering and the various Programme Teams to ensure transparency of work towards PSW.
- The role will require as a Residence STA (SD&O) for Agaratas Cells manufacturing location at Sanand Gujrat.
- Working with internal stakeholders and supplier representatives to ensure requirements are met. Supporting APQP process, using commodity plans to confirm supplier product delivery plans, confirmation of manufacturing feasibility of the facilities & production process. Review of supply chain design, review of tooling and fixtures, production process and plant capacity, process readiness, and project management
- Knowledge of various manufacturing process is must. Like EV, Battery, Cell, stamping, heat treatment, and Injection Moulding etc
- Excellent quality and problem-solving skills are required with supplier, UK plants and key stakeholders.
- Support facility readiness and production readiness reviews, run at rate trail support. Attend APQP formal reviews and interim sessions as required. Issue resolution including onsite support at supplier manufacturing locations linked to Facility and Production maturity.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage supplier current parts and new part development and introduction to support delivery of excellent quality.
- Manage productive relationships with internal stakeholder and suppliers representatives to ensure Quality and delivery targets for PSW are met and all supplier related issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Support sourcing activities for vehicle components as required to deliver an optimal supply base in line with our Strategic Category Plans
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to maximise Supplier Technical Assistances influence and ensure alignment with Purchasing processes and policy.
- Undertake any other work as directed by line manager in connection with the job as may be requested.
Preferred candidate profile
- Previous experience in an automobile manufacturing or engineering
- A proven management track record in a manufacturing or technical environment
- Broad experience of managing external stakeholder and supplier relationship management
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship management skills and experience
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to converse at all levels of the organisation and with external suppliers/customers
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Engineering background (Process, Quality, Mechanical, Electric)
- Must have good communication skills
