Inviting applications for the role of Senior Specialist - S&P - Procurement Ops

Work location: Bangalore (Work from office)

Responsibilities:

1. End-to-End Procurement Management

Manage the full procurement cycle from requisition to purchase order creation and supplier delivery.

Ensure timely sourcing and procurement of goods and services in line with organizational requirements.

2. Supplier Relationship Management

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and competitive pricing.

Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to delivery, quality, or service.

3. Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization

Support strategic sourcing initiatives by identifying potential suppliers and negotiating terms to achieve cost savings.

Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to drive procurement decisions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to consolidate spend and optimize procurement strategies.

4. Contract Management

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing procurement contracts and agreements.

Ensure contract compliance and renewals in coordination with legal teams.

5. Purchase Order & Documentation Management

Ensure accurate and timely creation and tracking of purchase orders.

Maintain procurement records and documentation as per company policies and audit requirements.

6. Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and relevant laws and regulations.

Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.

7. Vendor Onboarding & Evaluation

Facilitate vendor onboarding and due diligence processes.

Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to assess compliance and performance.

8. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Work closely with internal teams (e.g., finance, operations, legal) to align procurement activities with business needs.

Act as a liaison between business units and suppliers to facilitate smooth procurement processes.

9. Reporting & Analytics

Prepare procurement reports and spend analysis to support decision-making.

Monitor key procurement metrics and track cost-saving initiatives.

10. Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and systems.

Support implementation of procurement automation tools and digital solutions.

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors in Business Administration,
• Bachelors in Industrial Engineering,
• Bachelors in Logistics,
• Bachelors in Supply Chain Management,
• Masters in Operations Management

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Relevant years of experience
• Good Communication skill and the ability to engage customers in significant discussions
• Basic understanding of planning-procurement/purchasing process in manufacturing industry. Experience on handling planning and procurement of direct materials.
• Strong team player and team managing skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications especially in MS excel Lean Trained & Tested preferred
• Scope for working under various ERP Packages - SAP SAP Hana ServiceNow or any Helpdesk ticketing solution
