Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Lead quality inspections for raw materials, in-process components, and finished tube fittings, valves, and related products.
  • Ensure products comply with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable international standards.
  • Perform, evaluate, and oversee NDT (PT, MT, UT) and PMI activities to verify product quality and material integrity.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections, pressure testing, hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, and final product release.
  • Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO standards, and customer quality requirements.
  • Identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Plan and conduct internal quality audits, monitor non-conformities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Production, Design, Purchase, Sales, and Customer Inspectors (TPI) to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Handle customer inspections and ensure compliance with requirements from ADNOC, ARAMCO, KOC, PDO, SHELL, and other Oil & Gas specifications where applicable.
  • Train, mentor, and guide junior QC engineers and inspectors to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain quality documentation, inspection records, calibration records, and audit reports.
  • Monitor quality KPIs and recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce rework.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety procedures and company quality policies throughout inspection activities.

Preferred candidate profile

  • 510 years of experience in Quality Control within the Tube Fittings, Valves, Instrumentation, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Process Equipment industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience in raw material, in-process, and final inspection of tube fittings, valves, and precision-engineered components.
  • Proficient in NDT (PT, MT, UT), PMI, hydrostatic/pneumatic testing, dimensional inspection, and interpretation of inspection reports.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001, Quality Management Systems (QMS), CAPA, internal audits, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience with international client specifications and approvals such as ADNOC, ARAMCO, KOC, PDO, SHELL, SABIC, and working with Third-Party Inspection (TPI) agencies is highly preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, P&IDs, material specifications, and Material Test Certificates (MTCs).
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding QC teams, handling customer inspections, and coordinating with Production, Design, and Sales.
  • Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
  • ASNT Level II/III certification will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
