Sr. Network Engineer

We re looking for a Tech-Savvy Sr. Network engineer with minimum 5 yrs of experience (in handling the Network & Solutions for any of an IT Infrastructure service provider/ IT solutions Integration Company) who could develop, design and implement Networking Solutions ; conduct POCs (Proof of Concepts) & pitch innovative solutions to customers . Core Tasks: Provide ongoing support on all areas of Datacentre networking. Assist in design / development of network products and solutions. Assist in network based projects and development Preparing network diagrams / documentation based on the project needs Daily maintenance checks for all Customer core network elements Dealing with all types of network-related incidents to ensure that SLAs with customers are adhered to. Build and maintain working relationships with key interconnect partners & customers Provide support out of hours on call Preferably strong working knowledge in Vulnerability Assessment, Network Audits & Performance Assessment Should have strong skills in Configuring & Managing Network Devices-Switches & Routers Should have strong skills in Configuring & managing Security Appliances like Check Point / Cisco ASA Etc. Should be good at handling firewall technologies like NMS, VPN, and IDS IPS Additional Skills & Qualifications: Should be an effective communicator verbal, written and presentation skills Should have good communication skills & excellent customer interfacing skills Should have good exposure on ITIL Process Should have good problem solving skills Should be good at time management & should have the ability & desire to learn new skills. Competencies: Understands underlying issues and develops and evaluates solutions Excellent general knowledge of TCP/ IP Excellent knowledge on switching technologies STP, VRRP, VTP, Stacking, LLDP, L2 Security & 2/ 3 Tier architecture Juniper experience Operational experience of load-balancers technologies, particularly F5 BigIP and Cisco ACE. Cisco certified to CCNP or CCIP or Juniper Cert. Cisco experience to include: Access routers (1000/ 1600/ 2500/ 2600/ 3600 series) Core routers (7200/ 7500/ 7600/ 12000 series) LAN Switches (Catalyst 2900XL/ 3500XL/ 5X00/ 6X00 & RSP/ MLS/ MSFC routing modules) Routing Protocols: IS-IS BGP4 (including some routing policy knowledge) OSPF, EIGRP RIP Security & Redundancy Features HSRP, firewalling/ access-lists, CBAC Ethernet/ Fast Ethernet/ Gigabit Ethernet POS (packet over SDH/ SONET) ATM Firewall Configuration and Support : Check Point Lucent Brick Cisco PIX / ASA Desirable Requirements : Routing Registry knowledge RIPE, etc. General background in networking/ ISP knowledge of ISP-type services, DNS, DHCP, WINS Some Unix experience, especially with the Vi editor Some operational experience of IP VPN technologies such as IP Sec, MPLS and GRE
