Job Description
Technical Skills Requirement
- Experience in developing vendors for new product development in engineering industries.
- Expertise in operational excellence in manufacturing, such as casting, forging, machining, welding, forming, mechanical assembly, NDE and inspection, and testing.
- Strong knowledge of industrial production processes
- Experience in quality, audits, vendor development, ideally in regulated industries (nuclear, energy, oil & gas, rail, aerospace)
- Strong command of Quality Management Systems and process audits.
- Good understanding of nuclear safety culture
- Experience performing process capability analysis (Cpk) and qualification.
- Working knowledge of Manufacturing and Quality Plans, PFMEAs.
- Experience leading multiple, concurrent projects
- Experience authoring technical documents or operating procedures.
- Ability to read drawings and specifications made to ASTM/ASME standards
- Experience with nuclear products and standards preferred.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and systems, with experience in SAP.
Role & responsibilities
- Responsible vendor development and vendor management.
- Research and identify new, reliable vendor who can meet KBL product & service requirement.
- Contribute and validate the vendor selection strategy with corporate sourcing teams.
- Identify potential vendors based on need by conducting market survey, on site assessment.
- Prepare, plan, and conduct vendor assessment, audits as per customer requirements, internal standards at vendor sites.
- Evaluate vendors organizational structure and processes to meet nuclear technical and safety culture.
- Initiate Cross function collaboration with engineering, corporate procurement & QA team to review manufacturing process.
- Work with vendor and internal quality team to troubleshoot issues and establish quality standards.
- Foster collaborative, long-term partnerships with vendors and resolve operational bottlenecks or escalations.
- Work with vendors to streamline operational processes, boost productivity, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Foresight to identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure all vendors comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry quality standards.
- Coordinate with internal stake holder for customer approval of new vendors.
- To track and achieve KPIs in respective area
- Submission of weekly and Monthly MIS
- Delivery of savings (time, cost, quality) towards overall business.

- Lead a vendor development cell for the business.
- This role focuses on the structural development of vendor required for new product development in nuclear sector.
- This role directly contributes to vendor maturity and nuclear supply chain reliability
