Position Overview
The Senior Executive UK Audit is responsible for leading small audit teams, overseeing fieldwork execution, and ensuring high quality audit deliverables in accordance with UK GAAP, IFRS, and ISA (UK). The role involves supervising juniors, preparing technical audit documentation, performing detailed analytical procedures, and supporting audit managers in planning, execution, and finalisation of engagements. The Senior Audit Associate also collaborates closely with UK onshore teams to provide timely updates and ensure seamless audit delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Audit Planning Coordination
- Assist managers in the planning, execution, and finalisation of audit engagements.
- Prepare planning documents such as planning memorandums, analytical reviews, business understanding notes, and meeting minutes under the guidance of audit managers.
- Identify key areas of judgement, audit risks, and areas requiring additional scrutiny.
- Build strong working relationships with UK onshore teams and provide regular status updates.
Execution Fieldwork
- Perform detailed analytical procedures to analyse significant fluctuations in financial statement balances.
- Execute substantive testing, control testing, and test of details across key audit areas.
- Identify issues, missing information, or inconsistencies and track open items until resolution.
- Prepare summaries of audit findings and submit them for audit manager review.
Documentation Working Papers
- Prepare high quality working papers that clearly document the audit procedures performed, evidence obtained, and conclusions reached.
- Draft audit deliverables and reports to substantiate audit findings and support final audit conclusions.
- Ensure all documentation meets firm quality standards and ISA (UK) audit requirements.
Client Interaction Communication
- Communicate with client personnel to request information, clarify queries, and resolve outstanding issues.
- Summarise key findings from procedures and communicate potential risks or concerns to seniors and managers.
- Provide timely progress updates to UK-based teams to support seamless audit workflow .
Knowledge Sharing Continuous Improvement
- Share audit methodology knowledge with junior team members to support their development.
- Suggest improvements to audit procedures, documentation, and workflows.
- Promote a collaborative working environment focused on quality and continuous learning.

Education, Skills Experience
- Commerce Graduates, CA/ACCA (qualified or pursuing)
- Must have a minimum of 2 year of UK Audit Experience or 5 years of Indian Audit Experience (including 3 years of articleship experience) into Statutory Audits
- Should possess clear working knowledge of accounts and expertise in Audits
- Must have a strong foundation of the double entry system of bookkeeping
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess financial data and identify discrepancies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Should be able to deal with changing internal and external demands in an organised manner
- Should be a quick learner, especially with accountancy and auditing software
- Should have strong knowledge of MS Office applications
