Job Description
The Senior Estimation Engineer will lead the estimation and costing function for real estate and construction projects. This role involves preparing accurate project cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analyses, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring competitive and cost-effective proposals for tenders and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities - Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analysis for all projects.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications , and provide cost insights.
- Supervise and guide junior estimation engineers in preparing material take-offs and cost data.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontracting costs for accuracy and competitiveness.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, contracts, and project teams for inputs and validation.
- Review and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations to ensure optimal pricing.
- Support in tendering, bidding, and cost proposals for upcoming projects.
- Maintain and update a database of standard rates, suppliers, and market price trends .
- Implement value engineering techniques to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
- Monitor project costs vs. estimates and provide variance reports to management.
- Provide cost-related advice to senior management for strategic decision-making .
