Sr Engineer - MBD

We are looking for an experienced Model Based Developer to join our software engineering team working on Electric Vehicle software systems. In this role, you will contribute to the development, testing, and debugging of models and auto-generated code across multiple domains within the EV software architecture. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of how algorithms and control functions are translated into models and further into production-ready code.

• Develop and debug Simulink and Stateflow models according to functional and technical requirements, following MAAB guidelines.

• Derive models and software components from mathematical algorithms and physical system behaviors, integrating them into the existing EV software architecture.

• Generate production code from developed models and evaluate performance using model simulations and HiL systems.

• Review technical literature and research papers to evaluate and implement state-of-the-art algorithms.

• Automate development and testing processes using scripts and model-based tools.

• Independently develop functional logic by referring to the latest technical standards and engineering practices.

• Collaborate closely with Systems Engineering and Firmware teams to ensure smooth system integration and validation.

• Strong experience in Model Based Development (MBD) using MathWorks tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.

• Experience with auto code generation tools such as Embedded Coder or TargetLink.

• Hands-on experience developing functions for safety-critical real-time systems.

• Good understanding of the Automotive Software Development Lifecycle and toolchains.

• Strong programming knowledge in C and MATLAB scripting (m-scripting) with solid debugging skills.

• Experience with MBD testing methodologies such as MIL, SIL, and PIL.

• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and LIN for testing and integration.

• Experience working with control systems related to Powertrain or Hybrid/Electric systems.

• 4 6 years of experience in Model Based Development within the automotive industry.

• Bachelor s Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
