Sr. Engineer

The Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules and ensuring that solar power projects are executed on time and within budget. This role involves close coordination with project teams, contractors, procurement, and other stakeholders to drive project timelines and milestones.

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (using Primavera P6/MS Project/Excel) for solar power projects.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project timelines.

Monitor project progress and flag delays or deviations from the baseline schedule.

Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports (including S-curves, progress % updates, and lookahead plans).

Assist in resource planning and allocation to meet project demands.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for timely delivery of equipment and services.

Track material delivery schedules and align them with site execution plans.

Participate in project review meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.

Support in risk identification and mitigation planning related to project timelines.

Update project status to higher management and suggest corrective/preventive actions.

Assist in preparation of extension of time (EOT) claims, if necessary.

Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Civil preferred).

3-7 years of experience in planning roles within solar or renewable energy projects.

Proficiency in Primavera P6 / MS Project and Excel.

Strong understanding of project life cycles in solar EPC projects.

Knowledge of solar PV systems, substation, transmission lines, etc. is an advantage.

Project scheduling and time management.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Understanding of project budgeting and cost control.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure.
