Job Description

  • Onboard customer environments into the Qualys VMDR platform, including asset discovery, scanner deployment, and Cloud Agent implementation.
  • Configure and manage Qualys Scanner Appliances (Physical/Virtual), Cloud Agents, Asset Groups, Dynamic Tags, Business Units, and user access.
  • Configure authentication records for Windows, Linux, Databases, Network Devices, and Cloud environments to enable authenticated vulnerability assessments.
  • Schedule, execute, monitor, and troubleshoot authenticated and unauthenticated vulnerability scans across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Validate scan coverage, optimize scan performance, and resolve scan failures to ensure successful completion within defined SLAs.
  • Analyze vulnerability assessment results, validate findings, eliminate false positives, and prioritize vulnerabilities based on CVSS, exploitability, and business risk.
  • Coordinate with customer stakeholders and internal teams to support vulnerability remediation, track closure, and perform remediation validation and retesting.
  • Generate executive, technical, and compliance reports, providing actionable remediation recommendations and vulnerability trend analysis.
  • Administer the Qualys VMDR platform, including scan templates, Option Profiles, Asset Tags, reporting templates, and scanner health monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to scanner connectivity, authentication, network accessibility, Cloud Agents, and Qualys platform operations, coordinating with Qualys Support when required.
  • Support customer onboarding, environment expansion, asset lifecycle management, and periodic validation of asset inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with operational processes, customer SLAs, and vulnerability management best practices while maintaining process documentation and SOPs.
  • Participate in customer meetings to provide project updates, operational status, scan findings, remediation progress, and technical recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Cloud, Network, and Security Operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Support automation initiatives, continuous service improvement, and adoption of new Qualys VMDR features and capabilities.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Qualys VMDR, vulnerability management lifecycle, Windows/Linux administration, networking fundamentals, CVSS, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or JIRA.
  • Preferred certifications include Qualys VMDR Specialist, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent cloud security certifications.
