Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Implement and monitor project-specific Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) plans.
• Conduct daily safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory safety regulations, client requirements, and company HSE policies.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend effective control measures.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare detailed investigation reports and corrective action plans.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as:
- Excavation and earthwork
- Blasting operations (where applicable)
- Working at heights
- Heavy lifting and crane operations
- Concrete batching and placement
- Electrical installations and commissioning
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
- Conduct safety induction programs and periodic training for employees and subcontractors.
- Maintain statutory safety records, permits, and documentation.
- Liaise with client representatives, consultants, and government authorities on safety compliance.
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Engineering.
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety.
- NEBOSH/IOSH/OSHA certification will be an added advantage.
Requirements
- 8-15 years of experience in Dam Construction Projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and statutory compliance.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
