The role involves building scalable ETL pipelines that enable reporting, regulatory compliance, and business insights.Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using SAS (Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, etc.)
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for large-scale datasets.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and third-party data providers.
• Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure high data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and support reporting and analytics needs
• Implement and maintain data governance and audit controls aligned with domain.
• Optimize ETL performance and ensure scalability of data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues across upstream and downstream systems.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of ETL processes and data mappings.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in SAS ETL development.
• Strong proficiency in SQL (joins, window functions, performance tuning).
• Experience with SAS tools such as Base SAS, SAS DI Studio, or SAS Enterprise Guide.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts , ETL frameworks, and best practices.
• Experience working with large relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc. ).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Python for automation, data processing, or analytics.
• Familiarity with Tableau for dashboards and reporting.
• Understanding of insurance data models (Policy, Claims, Underwriting, Premiums, Losses), familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements in insurance (e. g. , reporting, audit, data traceability) is good to have.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
