Sr. Cloud Engineer

• Lead and manage end-to-end infrastructure migration projects, including Linux and Windows servers, cloud platforms, and other infrastructure components.
• Develop comprehensive migration plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Perform pre-migration assessments and readiness checks.
• Generate and present regular reports on migration progress, issues, and resolutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues and provide technical support during the migration.
• Ensure data integrity and security throughout the migration process.
• Proven experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Assess and analyze existing workloads and environments for Azure migration readiness.
• Estimate Azure cost using pricing calculators and optimize configurations for Reserved Instances, Hybrid Benefit, etc.
• Prepare technical proposals, including solution architecture, effort estimation, timelines, and commercials.
• Design secure and scalable Azure solutions for IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid workloads.
• Implement Azure landing zones, including governance, policies, security baselines, and compliance measures.
• Plan and execute migrations using Azure Migrate, ASR, or third-party tools.
• Implement automation using PowerShell, ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform for deployment and configuration.
• Monitor and manage Azure resources using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Maintain technical documentation such as high-level design (HLD), low-level design (LLD), runbooks, SOPs, and cost reports.
• Stay updated with latest Azure features, industry trends, and continuously enhance the environment.
• Mentor and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and allocating tasks for project delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure strategies with business objectives.
• Coordinate with vendors, service providers, and Microsoft support for escalations and solution validation.
• Maintain and manage the Helpdesk, assist with escalations, and support junior technicians.
• Proficiency in Linux (e.g., RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server (e.g., 2016, 2019, 2022) administration.
• Deep understanding of Active Directory (AD) design, migration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with server roles such as DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, IIS, file/print services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and familiarity with AWS or GCP is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls) and related devices (routers, switches, load balancers).
• Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) and cloud-native tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience in backup, DR, and security best practices for both cloud and on-prem workloads.
• Extensive experience with database migrations: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL.
• Ability to manage database performance, backup, and recovery in hybrid and cloud environments.
• Accountable for the teams success and responsible for creating new infrastructure and Azure service offerings.
• Conduct workshops, presentations, and client-facing sessions to demonstrate solutions and project outcomes.
• Support pre-sales with solution design, RFP responses, and customer engagements.
