Job Description
- Engineer with having SQL database knowledge and willing to work as SQL DBA and flexible to work in shifts.
- Building and configuring new SQL database servers / environments. Calculating and establishing optimum values for database parameters
- Monitoring & troubleshooting the SQL job, installation and configuration of SQL Server, ensuring database availability etc.
- Automation of SQL jobs, basic SQL troubleshooting, granting security rights for various group and individuals.
- Critical and advanced configurations like Disaster Recovery Planning mechanisms Clustering, Log shipping, Mirroring and Replication.
- Performing Database backup and recovery and monitoring the backup processes through SQL jobs
- Monitor database performance, identifying problems and suggesting improvements.
- Basic troubleshooting for cluster nodes, Log shipping and SQL agents.
- Creation of new jobs / alerts / schedule
- Planning for Disaster Management and failover to other nodes
