SQL DBA + Azure

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) with 3- 4 years of experience in SQL Server administration, database patching, upgrades, and Azure. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in managing SQL Server environments, ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and administer Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Perform SQL Server patching, cumulative updates, and version upgrades.
• Monitor database health, performance, and availability.
• Configure and manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize SQL Server instances.
• Implement and support High Availability (Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication, Mirroring).
• Perform database migration activities between environments.
• Manage SQL Server security, user access, and permissions.
• Support Azure SQL environments (Azure SQL Database/Azure Virtual Machines).
• Work with development teams to deploy database changes and releases.
• Prepare technical documentation and operational reports.

Required Skills

• 3 4 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Administration.
• Experience in SQL Server patching and upgrades.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL or Azure Virtual Machines.
