Executive - SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)
Job Summary
The Executive SQL Server DBA will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server database environments under the guidance of senior team members. The role involves ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability while assisting with routine database administration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain SQL Server database environments.
- Assist with database backups, restores, and recovery processes.
- Troubleshoot database performance and availability issues.
- Perform routine database maintenance and health checks.
- Support database security, user access management, and compliance requirements.
- Assist in SQL Server installations, upgrades, and patching activities.
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues.
- Maintain database documentation and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in Database Administration or Database Support.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL queries.
- Understanding of database backup, recovery, and performance concepts.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is preferred.
