Role & responsibilities :

Job Description:

• Excellent knowledge in SQL Server database administration.
• Essential Excellent knowledge in automating SQLServer DB admin routine tasks like Provisioning ,Patching and Upgrades.
• Essential Excellent knowledge in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
• Essential Good knowledge in designing & developing HA solutions like Always-on AGs, Distributed AGs, replication, and mirroring.
• Essential Excellent knowledge in SQL Always cluster administration.
• Essential Excellent knowledge in Performance Tuning and Optimization.
• Essential Excellent knowledge in Query tuning and using the tools like Query store and Profiles.
• Good knowledge in MSSQL Features (SQL 2019 & higher versions).
• Essential Excellent knowledge in SQL Server upgrade (in-place with AG, DAG & Windows failover cluster).
• Essential Excellent knowledge in Security features like Auditing, TLS, etc.,
• Essential Excellent knowledge in backups, restores and recovery models Essential Excellent knowledge in Database migration.
• Essential Good knowledge in hosting SQLServer Database Clusters in Cloud Platforms (OCI, AWS and Azure).
• Good knowledge of SQL and/or PL/SQL or PowerShell.
• Essential Good knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems.
• Essential Good knowledge of Agile working practices.
• Essential Good knowledge of modern automation technologies (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform and ArgoCD)
• Essential Technical knowledge in OS and Virtualization environment (Windows, VMWARE, Hyper-V, etc.)
• Desirable Good knowledge of scripting (Bash, Python)
