Position: Speech Therapist
Department: Neuro Rehabilitation
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, cognitivecommunication,
and swallowing assessments using standardized clinical
protocols.
• Provide evidence-based rehabilitation for aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of
speech, hypophonia, and neurogenic communication disorders in
neurological patients.
• Assess and manage dysphagia through bedside swallowing evaluation and
therapeutic interventions ensuring patient safety.
• Develop individualized, goal-oriented therapy plans based on functional
neurological deficits and rehabilitation outcomes.
• Deliver structured therapy for patients with stroke, Parkinsonism, and
spinal cord injuries across inpatient and outpatient neuro-rehabilitation
settings.
• Support communication rehabilitation in tracheostomized patients and
high cervical spinal cord injury cases, including AAC strategies where
indicated.
• Provide cognitive-communication therapy addressing attention, memory,
executive functioning, and social interaction skills.
• Educate patients and caregivers on safe swallowing practices,
communication strategies, and home-based rehabilitation programs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, participate in multidisciplinary
rehabilitation planning, and ensure compliance with NABH patient safety,
infection control, and quality improvement protocols.
Eligibility Criteria
• Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP / MSc SLP)
• RCI Registration (Mandatory)
• Experience in Neuro Rehabilitation / Stroke Rehabilitation preferred
• Strong interdisciplinary coordination and documentation skills
