Assam Cancer Care Foundation is a joint partnership between the Government of Assam and Tata Trusts, set up in December 2017 to create a three-level cancer care grid in the state, delivering standardized and affordable cancer care closer to patients' homes. The Foundation operates state-of-the-art cancer centres and provides cancer care through various programs including palliative care, day care centres, community outreach, screening, awareness, and cancer research. It also runs the South Asia Cancer Research Centre and offers nursing fellowship programmes to train oncology professionals.
