Hiring for Sonatype Nexus Repository Engineer - Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nexus Repository SME to lead the administration, optimization, and integration of Sonatype Nexus Repository within our DevOps ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing artifact repositories, implementing access controls, automating repository tasks, and integrating Nexus with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and others.
- Serve as the go-to expert for Nexus Repository.
- Design, configure, and maintain Nexus repositories (Maven, npm, yum, ruby, PyPi, etc.).
- Set up and manage proxy, hosted, and group repositories for efficient artifact management.
- Implement fine-grained access control, cleanup policies, and security best practices.
- Integrate Nexus with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) to streamline artifact management.
- Automate repository maintenance tasks using scripting (Shell, Groovy, Python, etc.).
- Monitor performance, perform regular upgrades in Kubernetes, and ensure high availability.
- Responsible for diagnosing and resolving access and build-related issues within CI/CD pipeline jobs.
- Maintain documentation, best practices, and knowledge articles.
- Provide training and support to development and DevOps teams.
- Collaborate with security, compliance, and release management teams to ensure repository governance.
- Capable of conducting POC and pilot testing of Nexus to evaluate its capabilities and performance.
