Solutions Engineer - Artificial Intelligence (AI) Practitioner

Your Impact
As a Solutions Engineer - AI Practitioner , you will serve as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers adopt and maximize the value of Ciscos AI infrastructure and solutions. You will engage with customers to understand their business challenges, architect AI-driven solutions, and demonstrate how modern AI technologies can improve operational efficiency, accelerate innovation, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with sales teams to identify customer business challenges and design AI solutions that align with strategic objectives.
- Deliver compelling technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts for AI, data, and cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Design and articulate AI architectures spanning compute, networking, storage, GPUs, containers, and AI/ML frameworks across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Develop real-world AI use cases, reference architectures, and demonstrations showcasing business value and technical innovation.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams to ensure successful solution design, deployment, and customer adoption.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting with expertise in infrastructure, software, data platforms, analytics, or AI.
- Strong understanding of programming or scripting languages and modern AI software stacks.
- Experience creating deployment guides, technical documentation, and best practices for AI, automation, application acceleration, and enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Proven ability to develop and demonstrate practical AI use cases that solve real-world business problems.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills with experience delivering executive briefings, workshops, and technical demonstrations to both technical and business audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; Masters degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience with AI infrastructure technologies including GPU computing, InfiniBand, RoCE networking, Fibre Channel/IP storage, and scale-out storage architectures.
- Hands-on expertise with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI models such as GPT, Llama, ResNet, or similar foundation models.
- Strong experience with AI/ML frameworks and data platforms including TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Jupyter, SQL, NoSQL, Vector databases, BigQuery, NVIDIA NIM/NVAIE, or similar technologies.
- Experience training, fine-tuning, and deploying AI models in cloud and on-premises environments, with knowledge of Kubernetes, Responsible AI, AI governance, and AI security practices.
