Objective

System Solution Engineer / Solution Application Engineer works for Digital Energy Solutions business unit in the Technical Program Management team. As a Subject Matter Expert designs and engineers, solutions for complex engineering products and projects involving IT/OT Infrastructure, Telecommunications, and Software Applications for Electrical Grid Monitoring Energy Management Systems. This role requires expertise in the TD domain of Distributed Energy Resource (DER), Renewable Integration, specifically in the areas of DMS, OMS, Energy Automation Systems, Application Software, Communication Protocols, IIoT, Cloud, in Energy Power Industry Segment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide engineering expertise for pre-sales as well as technical solution delivery projects.
Provide technical expertise in documenting Solution Engineering requirements for customer projects.
Review RFPs and provide engineering inputs for proposal development.
Perform review of 3rd Party OEMs and Partners Technical Solutions / Technical Offers.
Collaborate with Product Management, Product Development, Project Operations, Sales, for document engineering and technical support.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience

Experience in designing developing engineering solutions for complex engineering products projects in the energy power industry segment.

Experience in the domains of Renewable Green Energy related projects like:

Energy Storage (BESS), Microgrid, Hybrid EMS
Electrical Vehicle Management System (EVMS)

Experience in multivendor (OEMs) automation products solutions like, GE, ABB, Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, Rockwell, OSI, Oracle.

Knowledge of IT Networking components specification.

Knowledge of communication protocol (Modbus TCP, DNP3, IEC61850, IEC104, OPC OCPP, Field Bus).

Knowledge of complex Solution System Architecture including concept of Cloud Virtual Architecture.

Preferred Experience

Advance Distribution Management System (DMS / OMS / GIS)
Meter Data Management System / AMI, Head End System
CCB (Customer Care Billing) / CIS (Customer Information System)
Work and Asset Management System (IBM Maximo, Ventyx Passport)

Added Advantage

Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) in TD domain.
Cloud Architecture and Cyber security.
Scrum Agile Processes, SDLC, Jira, Confluence.
SQL, Python, Java Script, JSON etc. and OS environment Windows Linux.
