Solution Architect - SAP PI/PO
Roles and responsibilities
- Act as EDI and cloud integration coordinator for internal and external partners.
- Inform, consult, and advise IT and business teams on process integration solutions.
- Manage escalations and stakeholder expectations.
- Coordinate implementation of SAP process integration functionalities.
- Serve as subject matter expert in IT projects.
- Identify user requirements and define concepts and specifications.
- Moderate workshops and coordinate delivery tasks.
- Configure and customize systems and support testing, training documentation and data migration.
- Translate end-to-end user requirements into technical design specifications.
- Estimate implementation effort, cost and timelines.
- Own end-to-end delivery of programs and projects to meet customer needs.
- Manage customer relationships and stakeholder communication.
- Partner with development service providers and align delivery to our clients standards and guidelines.
- Hand over technical specifications and monitor software realization.
- Perform technical quality reviews of deliverables.
Expected experience, skill sets and abilities
- 10 12+ years of experience in SAP PI/PO.
- Expertise in at least one integration setting: SAP ABAP, SAP PO, SAP HCI.
- System development know-how in ABAP and Java.
- Knowledge of XML, SOAP, J2EE, workflow, middleware, and web technologies.
- Expert skills in SAP CPI and SAP PO 7.5 (Java-only stack).
- Hands-on experience with adapters: REST, SOAP, HTTPS, EDI, B2B Add-On, SFTP, FILE, JDBC, AS2.
- Experience with PGP encryption.
- Experience working with formats: cXML, IDOC-XML, custom XML, EDI X12, EDI EDIFACT.
- Excellent English communication along with presentation, moderation and business-partnering skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work within a highly distributed team environment, multi-task and prioritise tasks.
- A performance-driven mindset, with strong work ethics and integrity.
Ideally, youll also have:
- Bachelor s degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar.
- Understanding of IT project methodologies.
- Good understanding of B2B processes.
- The relevant SAP certification/s.
- The experience of working in a multinational organization and/or a big consultancy.
- Working experience with European clients.
- A willingness to work partly or fully during European office hours (CET).
- A willingness to learn about new technologies when the need arises.
