Software Tester

Role & responsibilities

• Understanding of different testing techniques.
• Understand business requirements and functional specifications.
• Prepare test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases.
• Perform manual testing for web and mobile applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Identify, log, track, and verify software defects.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve issues and validate fixes.
• Participate in requirement reviews and sprint planning meetings.
• Perform API testing and database validation when required.
• Maintain test documentation and generate test execution reports.
• Ensure software quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and automation coverage.
• Good knowledge of QA methodologies, the QA lifecycle for white box, black box, functional, customer-oriented testing & QC/Testing will be preferred.
• Absolute understanding of the SDLC and STLC process.
• Automating using Selenium Web Driver and JAVA.
• Should have knowledge of Selenium Grid.
• Knowledge of GIT is a must.
• Should have knowledge of different frameworks and TESTNG.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 25 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
• Experience in testing web applications. Mobile application testing experience is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Understanding of the software development process.
• Good judgment skills.

Desirable:

• Experience working on the testing of web applications.
• Coordination with the development team to optimize the code for enhancing performance.
• Good knowledge of QA methodologies, the QA lifecycle for white box, black box, functional, customer-oriented testing & QC/Testing will be preferred.
• A person who has experience in the learning and education domain. ISTQB certification will be an added advantage.
