Software Test Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Validate software against architectural requirements to ensure compliance with design and performance standards.
• Identify and detect bugs/issues during testing and report them accurately.
• Develop and document test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Execute test cases on existing applications to verify functionality and stability.
• Record and analyse observations from application testing to support defect resolution and improvements.
• Ensure error-free program delivery by thoroughly testing before release.
• Adhere to the established SDLC process and maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Preferred candidate profile/Required Skills

• Bachelors degree in computer science background.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with active listening ability.
• Ability to analyse data, identify issues, and derive meaningful insights.
• Strong aptitude for identifying problems and providing effective solutions.
• Certification in Software Testing will be an added advantage.
