Software Test Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager - Automation Testing to join our Global Markets IT team in Mumbai. The successful candidate will have deep hands-on experience in developing and designing test automation scripts using Selenium with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. As an Assistant Manager, you will contribute to the design and maintenance of our automation test framework, collaborate with onshore and offshore teams, and drive new initiatives in test automation.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality automation test scripts using Selenium with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
• Support the testing process through test review and analysis
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure effective communication and issue resolution
• Document test results and follow up with the development team to resolve issues
• Perform all testing-related activities in the project
• Drive new initiatives in test automation and contribute to the improvement of our automation test framework
• Work with the development team to implement CI/CD pipelines for test automation using tools such as Jenkins or TeamCity
• Communicate effectively with multiple teams, including development teams and stakeholders

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in testing, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in automation testing using Selenium with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Experience with test management tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or TFS
• Knowledge of Git repositories for source code management
• Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively

Good to Have Skills and Experience

• Experience in API or mobile test automation
• Knowledge of other programming languages such as C#
• Experience with cloud-based testing platforms
• Certification in automation testing or a related field
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Knowledge of industry trends and emerging technologies in automation testing
